The Lyon Festival of Lights is a must-see event where creativity and innovation are intertwined to amaze millions of spectators.
Among the most important works of this event, that of Jacques Rival in 2006 remains engraved in the memories: the giant snowball majestically enveloping the equestrian statue of Louis XIV on the place Bellecour!
She was even immortalized in a film Chabrol.
The first snow globe, measuring 12 meters high, was made in the workshop and installed by our teams on the famous square!
This monumental installation, as poetic as it was impressive, had transformed the square into a fairytale scene. Thanks to a clever play of light and an artificial snow swirling, Jacques Rival had been able to reinterpret this emblematic space to infuse it with an unforgettable magic.
An exceptional reissue in 2024
This year, Jacques Rival is returning to his iconic work by republishing this giant snowball, This project being part of the works selected to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Fête des Lumières!
We are delighted to have you back at this new edition.
The expertise of Air Toiles Concept
For this installation, Air Toiles Concept has mobilized its know-how to design and manufacture the colossal inflatable structure, combining robustness, aesthetics and technicality. Every detail has been thought to sublimate the work while respecting the technical constraints.
Thanks to Jacques Rival for his confidence and creativity!
